Loretta (Cormier) Johnson began her career in her teenage years performing gigs across Canada and then in the late 80's, teamed up with her brother Gordon. She has recorded 5 albums prior to the formation of The Cormiers, which include 3 independent recordings, 1 with her brother Gordon and 1 recording at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, USA. The Nashville recordings were under contract with Comstock Records U.S.A. that gave her charted airplay throughout North America, Europe and Australia. Loretta decided to step away from the music industry in the mid to late 90's to raise a family but continued to keep in touch with current events within the industry. |
